On October 10th, the importance of empowerment was honored at Dreamcatchers Empowerment Network’s 6th Annual Client Success Recognition Event at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfield. This event celebrates the success of their clients who have been hired during the past year. This year’s theme was “Building for the Future” and it was another huge success with more than 80 clients, their family members, employers and Crestwood staff, along with state and county officials, attending. The day was filled with wonderful stories of perseverance and inspiration from their clients, as they shared how Dreamcatchers and finding employment has changed their lives. This year’s event also featured a panel of three Dreamcatchers’ staff, who shared their own moving personal stories on how employment through Dreamcatchers empowered them in their lives and how happy they are to be able to pay it forward by assisting Dreamcatchers’ clients to accomplish their own personal employment goals.
This celebration event honors and shines the spotlight on Dreamcatchers’ clients who have worked so hard for all their accomplishments and shows how empowerment is changing lives. Congratulations to all the Dreamcatchers and their continued success!
Here are a few examples of what their clients shared about Dreamcatchers:
“I want to thank you Dyane and Dreamcatchers for your time and effort you have given me. My family and I appreciate you so much! My new job is the best I’ve ever had. I won’t use the word “love” yet, but I like my job a lot! You are the best, thank you! – Arnie A
“I appreciate the services and support working with Dreamcatchers. I felt more motivated and engaged in searching and applying for jobs. In addition, I even found jobs that I never thought about applying for, I’m always keeping my options open. Now that I’m back to work, I feel more responsible for myself and I learned how to manage my time more efficiently. Also, I gained more customer service skills by interacting and listening to customer’s needs and wants. In conclusion, I feel more comfortable working on the job and paying attention to detail.” – Joseph
